The SL-13000, working as part of an ambitious plan to move an entire residential area

The project to restore the JR Sengoku Line to full operation by 2015 is well under way. The huge SL-13000 crane plays an essential role in the success of this project. Without this crane, some of the plan would be impossible.

One of the characteristics of the SL-13000 crane is its 115.8-meter working diameter. In major reconstruction projects, this size is indispensable.

In the plan to move the town, the SL-13000 crane is helping install the belt conveyor that will carry spoil from the hills directly to the seashore. Belt conveyer segments are immense, with the smallest weighing 80 tons or more. Building the mammoth belt conveyor is a big job that even requires suspending segments that cross roads or rivers.

Nobiru Station, still not operating after earthquake damage

Nobiru Station has yet to be rebuilt. The community is eager to have the entire line reconstructed, and today, the cranes continue their work.
